Come January - Get ready... here come the buyers! It's Time To Get Your Home On the Market!

There is something about the New Year, the new burst of energy,  that sparks the Buyer Rush in Real Estate here in Florida.  Just about the time the Daytona International Speedway gets started, tourists start to flock into Volusia County, and azaleas start blooming, the real estate market also starts to really bloom. As a Real Estate Broker in Florida, it is definitely my favorite time of the year!  

Sellers who have been patiently waiting for the New Year will be making last minute updates and tweeks before putting their homes on the market for their big debut.  Heading to Home Improvement Store Garden Centers for last minute plantings, and mulch to spruce up the curb appeal. Painting their front doors, mailboxes, to make their homes look fresh and "market-ready". 

Sellers often tend to wait to put their homes on the market until after the start of the new year, feeling that they can command higher prices and increased demand. 

Get ready for the run of local open house events, and unveiling of new home community model homes across the country in the "Parade of Homes" Events that will start in the spring.

According to the National Association of Realtors, the months between April and July are when the most home sales take place, but here in Florida our season starts much earlier right after the beginning of the new year.  

So get ready...It can be an optimal time for house hunting and house selling and a fantastic time of the year!  It's time to contact your Real Estate Agent and get the ball rolling.
