In the Field of Opportunity... is it Plowing Time Again?

It’s that time of year again when we are doing our annual reviews and setting plans for the next year and I came across a song this morning that kind of goes along with that.

Sometimes everything is going along fine and all we need to do is nurture our goal, do a little pruning here, a little weeding there and just make sure to keep maximizing what we have already been doing.

Yet other times things are just not working with a client, a project, a business, or a relationship.

And these are times that are the toughest when we must decide if it is time to plow this crop under and start over with a fresh field.

Do you have any fields that may need to be plowed under so that you can free up some time for the opportunity of a more productive crop this next year?

Good morning Bob,

The life of a farmer!

This is the time of the year when it should be cold enough to be pruning the fruit trees and we are now wondering how much of the crop will be lost.

I guess it will be work on equipment and make sure everything is ready for spring!

Make yourself a great day.

This is definitely a good time to take a good hard look at what's working and what isn't and adjust the sails moving forward. Wishing you great success in 2016, may it be your best year ever!

Bob Crane Our 'fields' are already 'planted' and the 'crop' is a coming up! Great advice and excellent choice of music!

I like the field analogy - yes, sometimes we need to start anew and now is a great time to think about whether that is necessary in our own business/life.

Bob, we do see these times when definite changes are in need.   You need to know when you see this before it is too late.

Hi Bob Crane Very interesting concept. I think that ALL businesses need to think this way.

Bob no plowing needed at this time.  The crops are growing and harvest time is near.

Great advice from you and your friend Neil, Bob.  The key is to continue to "plow" up some areas while other areas are continuing to grow and still other areas in your life may be ready to harvest.  Keep on rotating those crops.

Hi Bob - that is a very good analogy.  I have plowed a field or two in my business in preparation for 2016

Hello Bob ... I know how you feel with your post and snow, but plowing a business is quite different!
