2015 has officially come and gone. Over the past month, I have pondered what I should do differently in 2016, as I feel every business can use improvement.
There are a few critical changes I will be making to Shop Reverse Mortgages and I wanted to share these changes with the ActiveRain community. If it helps benefit one person, then that is fantastic. :).
Investing into Digital Marketing: SEO & PPC
After much research, I decided to find and hire a SEO company. Miami is one of the most competitive markets in the country. So I figured if an SEO company can rank #1 for a competitive keyword (after all, they all say they can rank you Page 1 #1, but there can only be ONE!), they can likely help me in my competitive industry! It is simply to time consuming for me to do this by myself and I must admit, I am certainly no SEO expert. My knowledge falls short at "blog often".
If you live in a non-competitive market, you can use Miami as it is extremely competitive to find your SEO company. I found this one ranking Page 1 #1 for Miami SEO Company. Sure, it will be a couple thousand a month but they have case studies, I called references, they are featured on major sites in the industry, etc. I was always worried about the horror stories but all signs point to this is not one of them. More expensive sure, but I know my money won't be wasted. They shared with me how they are different and it simply makes sense.
Pay Per Click is really expensive in my industry, some keywords cost over $50.00 a click. So I told them I wasn't interested in PPC. That was be trying to be a know it all after looking back at it. Again, just because I couldn't get the cost per click lower, doesn't mean they can't. They actually have a mortgage broker client that is in a different market and showed me the cost per lead. Not the cost per click. Can you believe that they were generated mortgage leads for $32.00!!!
The take-away from this post is to do solid, thorough research. Don't use past experiences to dictate the future. If so, you would likely never find a 2nd significant other because the first one just didn't work. That logic is flawed. Don't be cheap. Pay for the best you can afford. This can be wrapped up in a simple quote: "If you think an expert is expensive, wait until you hire an amatuer".
This is the year I am taking things to the next level and hope you do too!!
