But I have too, IMHO.  I have a Board of Directors meeting this morning and really do not feel like going, however there are topics that will bring a lot of debate an I think that I need to be there.  I have opinions on these "HOT" topics and have voiced them in the past.  Being the immediate past president and having a seat is really playing hard on me.  Trust me if I wasn't sick under any other conditions I would not be there.  My thought is that there will be those in attendance that would view this as a possible boycott.  In this instance every voice needs to be heard!  What do you think?

Don, Not sure what the boycott is about. What are the hot topics? I always seem to be the rebel in my association!

I adopted a friend's philosophy to "show up and see what happens."  Sometimes I go to things with predictions that don't pan out.  Other times I am right, and often I am surprised.  Who knows, you may find a new rebel there to pass the torch to.

We have some issues about our awards ceremony and some changes that were taking place in professional development (education) committee and I have been rather stubborn in areas related to both of these areas.  I am not sure that thy understand what I am saying and then we have some new members on the board.  I know that we will get it worked out and the association will be all the better for it in the long run.
