The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is an art museum in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is Montreal's largest museum and is amongst the most prominent in Canada. The museum is located on the historic Golden Square Mile stretch of Sherbrooke Street. What is so unique and fun about this museum, is that you have five pavilions you could visit. On Wednesday you could visit all 5 for free. Do make sure to double check the website for updated changes.
Upon arrival I only had time to check out the Michal and Renata Pavilion. I will say this, the permanent collection is not to be missed. Montreal is fiercely open minded and ahead of their time when it comes to exploring new artists styles and subject matter. This is something for American art galleries and museums (even though this is considered to be a part of North America) to consider offering fresh inspiration for Americans and tourists alike.
