Dual Purpose Building, “Barndominiums”

Dual Purpose Building, “Barndominiums”

Popular with landowners on acreage Barndominiums affordable, & economic.

Create a unique way of living with home and barn combined, most barn styles feature bold timber frame interiors with exposed beams creating a unique environment that stands out from traditional home styles.

Barn Homes come in all styles and are being used for more than just workshops, horses and hay.

Using reclaimed historic barn frames as the “core” feature of a barn home gives a warm comfortable atmosphere, many barn builders design steel framed barns. Even if no barn exists on the land it is still possible to add an “old barn" feel with living space.

The word Barndominium meaning:

Non-traditional structure, the barndominium is normally a steel frame and sheet metal building, originally designed as a storage building or barn structure that has been repurposed by the addition of living areas to previously open space.
Wood barns can also be structured for home living.
This type of building is typically built on an existing property or multi-acre homesite and the structure often acts as a dual purpose living, shop, workspace, storage or animal shelter.

Barndominium new type of building growing in popularity, especially in rural areas of the United States. Dual  Purpose Housing.

Check out Luke's video of Barndominium Home living for building your own Bardominium or give me a call to find existing homes.

If you or someone you know is considering moving to Austin Metro Cities I welcome the opportunity to assist you or them in finding your new home. If it's a barn style, ranch style, traditional or other I have the resources to find your dream home.
