First Thursday is a monthly Austin event where local arts and crafts sellers turn out under tents on South Congress, and the stores and restaurants in the area stay open until 10pm. An event to pick up unique handmade gifts from vendors who return month after month and prices are reasonable. Unique art, handmade and vintage jewelry, ceramics, Austin-themed clothing, woodworking. Local shops such as Big Top Candy Shop, Monkey Business, Lucy in Disguise, Uncommon Objects and 10,000 Villages stay open a little later, and the austin famouse "i love you so much" graffiti on the side of Jo's Coffee. First Thursday great extravaganza to take visitors to show them a bit of Austin culture and incredible people watching!!!!
