If you are looking for a job, a career, and you are open to relocating, I may have a suggestion for you.

There are many reasons to consider Louisville, Kentucky, such as it being a Google eCity, Top Twenty for Most Caring cities in the United States, and a top city for the arts, but Gallup just presented another reason to Think Louisville.

Gallup, via Monster.com recently awarded Louisville, Kentucky the distinction of being a Top Ten City for Job Creation. A very nice honor to receive, especially in an economy that is seeing huge shifts in players.

With a very diverse economy consisting of two Ford Motor plants, a huge General Electric plant, and UPS Worldport, that could be part of the reason. We also have several other factories in the city, and other high-tech industry such as Amazon, which has a  large presence here.

Also, we are seeing a large increase in our tech sector growth, with many start-ups in media and products now calling Louisville home.

Finally we are the home to Humana, Yum, Brown Foreman, and other global brands. These brands and others help to diversify our economy that much further.

Check out Louisville when considering a move, and if you need more help, drop me a line.

I can provide my insight as having grown up here, or connect you with others in industry. I can also connect you with the principals at Greater Louisville Inc., our Chamber of Commerce where I serve as an Ambassador. They can connect you with others in finance, industry, or city hall.

I love Louisville.  A lot of culture, history and a great downtown area.  Those are the things people don't think about when they are looking at horse country!

Hi Michael,  We just had 428 people lose their jobs because the local aluminum plant closed down.  Maybe I should send them your way?

Let's celebrate that National Geographic named our Louisville Kentucky number ONE Food City in the World for Top 10 Food City of the World. Now if that isn't reason enough, well, I know getting that great job in one of the friendliest cities around will make it worth moving here.

Lousiville is a great city. My daughter lived there several years and it gave us an excuse to visit and see much of the town.
