Cures For The Holiday Hangover

As most of you know, it has been raining since early Monday out here in the West.  So we have had gloomy and grey skies along with pockets of heavy rain and also light drizzle. After having a free New Year's Day, I was looking forward to the new year.  Then the grey, wet gloom came.  I new that today was going to be more of the same, however, when I looked outside this morning I saw this wonderful scene.

Video

After seeing the snow falling as the day started to unfold, I couldn't help but have the "Holiday Hangover" lifted.  Seeing the purity of that white stuff floating through the air created a tranquil serenity that helped to ground me and eliminate that pesky figurative hangover.

Not all of us ever wake up to a scene like I did.  Something I do is to create a wonderful serene aroma such as burning a scented candle.  Also brewing some aromatic tea can do the trick for me as well.

So what do you do to get back on track?  How can you eliminate that "Holiday Hangover"?

Here is another video my husband took this morning comparing the snowfall outside to the movie Holiday Inn (White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye

Hard for me to believe that there is snow in Sedona. Have been there a number of times, but the snow isn't my picture, but it is beautiful.

Hi Lou Ludwig - today alone we have had 2 snow flurries (2 inches) some grapple, and rain. It is crazy.  Now the peaks of the Red Rocks are getting just snow and it is building up.  I will post something in a little while.

Hi Debbie Reynolds - I never realized that snowfall is the best form of precipitation because it is absorbed slowly into the ground.  Better to get a good snow and let it melt slowly!
