I spent two week during the holiday season in the Spokane, Washington area. This posts only purpose is to share one of my favorite photos from a New Years Day drive my best friend and I took. This picture was taken in the Green Bluff area of Spokane.
There are a number of fruit orchards and tree farms in the area and there are several fun events throughout the year to celebrate the blessings of various agricultural crops.
Mother natures creates some amazing beauty, in spite of the challenges the conditions create.
Happy New Year Everyone,
Carol
Hi Carol... that is simply one stunning picture. I adore winter scenes in art and photography. (But hate winter and the cold.)

Thanks, Nina Hollander. I think I'm going to have it enlarged, matted and framed.
I'm with you on adoring winter scenes in art. The older I get, though, the less I enjoy being in it. When my husband was alive, we spent 1-3 months in Palm Springs during the winter. I miss those days!

Carol Williams ~ Carol, that would be an awesome pictured matted and framed. One reason we moved to Charlotte is that we have four seasons, but winter is very short and sweet.
Gorgeous shot of a stately tree!

Carol, that is a beautiful photo, but sad to hear there are fruit trees. Hope they were not damaged!
Hi Joan Cox . Thanks for checking in and commenting. You will be pleased to know such weather conditions does not damage the fruit trees. There is a thick blanket of snow protecting the root system. There should be a fine crop again next season. My husband was a tree fruit scientist and I was a fruit broker (in a past life). I know a lot about apple, pear and cherry production. :-)
Good! We are covered in a blanket of white right now too!
I hope you are enjoying a most productive January.
We expect to have snow scenes to photograph in Maryland this week.
