David - You make a great point here.  I have always liked the second verse you mentioned ("out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks").  I also like "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."  This is a great reminder for all of us.  Well done!

Whenever people ask me how business is with their doom and gloom voice, I always tell them that I am very busy and what an opportunity this market has brought.  I also do remind them that real estate has always been meant to be a long term investment and not a get rich quick scheme.  We have been spoiled over the last 10-15 years with the real estate market rising so quickly and many people benefited from it and are angry now that we are in more of a normal market.

Amie, Even when I was running a little slower with inspections than I liked, when someone asked how things were going I would say "Well yesterday was a little slow, but business is just a phone call away and it's coming."  I heard once that we speak our tommorws.

That agent needs to read the book the "Secret". Its all about how you present yourself and how your life is affected by your actions and your thoughts.

Mary and Michelle, I agree completley, and tried to share some of this with the guy.  I really wanted to put duck tape over his mouth which was not very nice of me but I thought I could at least stop the negative words from flowing.

Amen, brother!  Our words bring life or death, blessing or a lack thereof. Out of the mouth proceed the issues of the heart.  Got to get the heart right and everything else will follow!  Heart, thoughts, choices, actions, and words - they are all linked and come out in our attitude and speech in every area of life, including our business.  We believe and speak accordingly, and we are blessed!  Bless y'all!

"As a man thinketh, so he is also"  You just have to believe it!    If you think (and say) you're in the middle of a professional crisis, you have just created tomorrow as a continuation of that...If you believe you're right where God wants you, you are blessed no matter where that place is!
