The other day I was talking with a guy and his wife happens to be a Realtor.
I was asking him how she is doing and he quickly goes into the slow market thing. I sat there listening to all that he was saying and all the negative comments made me think. How many of us are in the process of stopping our prosperity right in the middle of it heading our way. How many times do we say "Oh Lord, You're going to have to help us out of this situation only to turn around and put a halt to his answer to our quickly said prayer. If you look around you can find all kinds of things talking about your thoughts and the words that you say and how it affects your life. There is power in the spoken word and you will be what you constantly think you are. This makes me think of two scriptures: There is Life and death in the tongue, chose life. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. But the main thing I come back to is this one simple fact, When God started everything in the beginning he spoke it. So to me anything that we pray and then talk negatively about is just a waste of time in our prayer life.

What are you saying about yourself, your business, and your kids. Are you a blessing or are you speaking curses in the form of negative words? Are you cancelling your prayer request as quick as you say them?

David - You make a great point here. I have always liked the second verse you mentioned ("out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks"). I also like "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." This is a great reminder for all of us. Well done!
