Winter showed up this morning!

One of the many things I like about the South is that we have 4 seasons, with winter generally one of the shorter ones! This morning I woke up to 19 degree weather and decided Winter has arrived.

Normally, we see below freezing weather every Winter. We even occasionally get an inch or two of snow that shuts down all services since we really have very little snow and ice removal equipment. Even though it is "Nippy" outside, we have blue skies and sunshine that will warm us up to around the mid 40's today.

So, as long as today is our Winter and tomorrow is Spring, I will be happy. I think the odds of that happening are about as low as my lottery ticket winning.

I am a warm weather person. Winter is OK, but Summer time is my season. I think I will go find my swimsuit. Tomorrow could be really warm, but I doubt it. Winter showed up this morning and I am hoping it won't stay too long.

Hi Barbara, I lived in NY for almost 3 1/2 years. That's when I decided , "I am a warm weather person."

We are expected to get in the low 40's today and I am hoping the Mile High sun melts some of the snow.

I wish winter was our shortest season! Unfortunately, it lasts from November through February - and sometimes March. We're in a heat wave at the moment - low 30's both day and night. Some of the snow has melted or "scrunched down" so only about a foot on the ground.
