How to paint perfect striped walls

One of the easiest ways to give your house a facelift is with a fresh coat of paint.  Maybe you want to go with something simple like a fresh coat of white on the walls.  Maybe you dream of replicating one of the amazing rooms you have seen on Pinterest.  Striped walls are always bold and can look amazing.  They aren't that hard if you follow some simple steps on how to paint perfect striped walls.

1. Make sure your lines are level.  That doesn't mean an even distance from the ceiling or floor or what ever.  Use a level and lightly trace out the lines on the wall.  A mechanical pencil will help you make a light line, but one you can follow with the masking tape later.

2. The order you apply the paint is where you go from Pinterest Fail to Pinterest Hero.  This pin on "How to paint perfect striped walls" has a picture worth 1000 words.  Put the tape down, and paint lightly a coat of the adjoining color.  That way the paint that leaks (and some will no matter what) is the color of the adjoining stripe! So simple it is genius.

Graet advice...I stay away from that fancy stuff usually, but love the idea for an accent wall maybe?
