Weltanschauung, not just any word, but a word Rainer's practice!!
When starting this post I had to look up what "Weltanschauung" meant. "Welt" means "world" and "anschauung" means "perception".
Next, I found the link to "Weltanschauung" on ActiveRain. In the address bar for Weltanschauung is: (http://activerain.com/culture/weltanschauung) and in the center is "culture"!
"World, Perception, Culture" these three words gave me an instant feeling of security and belonging! Once again I have reassured myself that I'm in the right place!
After reading through the ten guiding principles and philosophy, of Weltanschauung, all ten are perfect. But the one that hits home for me is #10, real estate professionals building a community focused on educating one another. It has a very nice ring to it.
The real estate industry is very competitive and sometimes we get caught up in that competition, forgetting to help each other. There are many out there that do not believe in helping their competition and I get that. I may not like it, but I get it. Yes, you can find education through your associations. The associations do there best and it is ultimately up to us to find and get what we need from them. But many times it's generic and lacking in real world experiences. Some are lucky enough to find education through their office, but you may belong to an office that doesn't provide that little bit of "extra" that you need. That's where ActiveRain comes in (for me at least). ActiveRain bridges that gap between what we are missing from the associations and our office. There are many Rainer's here that are willing to share ideas that are working right now! They are here to give us that extra little nudge we need to keep going and they make you feel at home while doing what they do best!
I hope (someday soon) that I will be able to give back to this wonderful community, that so willingly helps others. No where else have I felt a sense of belonging with the added benefit of all this experience and wisdom that makes up the ActiveRain community!
