What we Love about the area:

 

We really enjoy living on our quiet cul-de-sac that features family homes with kids of all age groups. Blue Heron elementary and middle school is just up the street from the home and is an easy walk or bike ride to get there. We also have access to The Rice Creek Chain of Lakes park reserve trail system which features 5,500 acres of biking and hiking trails, and multiple playgrounds with Marshan Park being a 5 min walk away, beach and fishing pier.

The things we love about Lino Lakes is that it is quiet, family-oriented, safe and has great schools. There are a lot of community activities year round, and all major retailers are within 5 miles. The nearest movie theater is only 8 miles away making it an easy option for a quick family outing. There is also easy access to 35W and it's only 25 minutes to downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul.

 

What great things do you do in your neighborhood?

 

Our neighborhood close, family oriented and active. On summer weekend nights it is typical to have neighborhood gatherings around a campfire, family BBQ and even one neighbor hosts outdoor movies. There are kids in all age groups from newborns to high school, which makes it easy to find a last minute sitter. Adults gather for dinner progression parties around the holidays and girls/guys nights throughout the year. There is even a neighborhood Facebook page for different events.

Rice Creek Chain of Lakes, Marshan Park, Lino Park

 

Great restaurants nearby:

There are multiple places to eat at 'The Village in Blaine' which is less than 5 minutes away. There is also Tavern on Main, Trappers, El Loro and multiple chain restaurants all on Lake Drive.

What did you do for interests and hobbies near to the property?

 

We really love to take the short walk to Marshan Park to let our daughter play with other neighbor kids. The walking and biking paths of Rice Creek are really nice for a physical activity. Chomonix golf course is just up the street which features a full 18 hole course. We also enjoy sitting on the porch and allowing our daughter to play throughout the cul-de-sac/ neighborhood.

 

Key points about the house that I/we were drawn to when we first looked at the home:

 

What really drew us to the property outside of the amazing home features, was the quiet cul-de-sac and the privacy of not having other homes backing up to ours. With the unused green space in the backyard, it really feels like our property continues into this area. It is also nice that the church space only gets used 1 time per year in September for a few hours, making it even more quiet, aside from our active neighborhood.

 

Inside the home, we were drawn to the open concept and large counter space in the kitchen. We also really enjoy the amount of storage space, upstairs laundry, large bedrooms and huge master suite. The house is facing north which allows for a lot of natural sunlight to fill the home.
