It's Almost Cold Enough
Tonight our area is headed for the deep freeze, something like 15 degrees below zero.
They are forecasting 3 days of sub zero temps for the Minot area with no high above zero until Tuesday.
There is an old saying, "Thirty below keeps the Riff Raff out", so heres hoping the wind picks up and we get a good wind chill.

It is brutal Sybil Campbell but a person can dress for it. Now a days cars can take it a lot better too. It used to be that most cars would not start in weather like this but now it's rare to see a car with it's hood up waiting for a jump start.
I'm not sure you ever get used to 30 below Grant Schneider but it sure makes you appreciate 30 above.
I look forward to the real cold once in a while...but I do prefer it to be someplace else.
At -20 I need to put on a heavy coat...-30 maybe some inulater underwear

This is our first real cold snap of the year Lou Ludwig and I really don't mind as long as it doesn't hang around to long.
You never know, the riff raff may take up refuge because of the cold.

When the mecury drops like this Larry Johnston petty crimes become non-existant. Crooks are lazy, they don't want to work and they don't want to get cold.
Just about cold enough for our next project in Northern MN, need to have some good quality frozen ground, lakes and rivers up there to get around.

If your new employer sells quilts Roger D. Mucci I bet they fly off the shelf when it gets this cold. BTW we have a quilt auction here once a year and I've seen beautiful quilts sell for well over a Grand.
Now I completely understand why your nickname is "Real Man"! Bob "RealMan" Timm , that is cold under any definition. Add the wind and it weeds out the lightweights!

The oil boom brought a class of undesirables here Sandy Padula and Norm Padula, JD, GRI that we wish this cold would send home. There are people who come to these booms, not to work but to sell drugs and for human trafficking. Now that the boom is over they have been more aggressive in thievery and other crimes. We sure would like to see them gone.
I think that's why we are healthier up here in the northland. The cold kills the germs!
