Niche Market The Rome Way
Most people, following me know I love selling unique properties.
So unique that other agents won't take them on. They may be homes that have been on the market for a long time.
The more unusual...the more exciting for me.
So I will continuing this niche for 2016.
Bring on buyer specific homes.
Bring on historic homes built in the 1800's.
Bring on the contemporary architecture.
Bring on the rancher with no basement.
Bring on the over improved house.
Everyone knows Maryland likes "clone-onials". Maryland buyers want a 4 bedroom brick colonial with side loading garage in a "nice" neighborhood and "good" schools. These homes sell quickly year round, in any market and are considered a "good safe" investment.
These are not the home that I find exciting.
Above is an example of a unique HomeRome property.
This fabulous contemporary was one of my favorite and one my most challenging sales. Sitting on 28 acres which could not be subdivided, this home used to be an ostrich farm.
Seven cantilevered decks and a total square footage of over 5000', it was a bit far out. Custom built white cedar and an abundant amount of glass...this was an architectural contemporary gem! There were 17 foot soaring ceilings, 2 wood burning fireplaces and just too many windows to count. A real unique buyer specific home. This was so much fun for me.
