Is your house bursting at the seams? Do you have hobbies that you just don't seem to have room for? My husband and I struggled with that for the last 8 or 9 years. The biggest issues John's drum kit and my treadmill.
My solution was to build an outdoor room, complete with power. My brother and I built this room, it cost about $1,500 and took less than a week.
The room is about 12' X 16'. The drums are in the back left of the room, and my treadmill is in the front right. Since I run first thing in the morning and John drums in the late afternoon or early evening it works out perfectly for us.
The moral of the story is that sometimes that little extra space you need is just outside your door.
