MOWING THE LAWN

Mowing the lawn is my favorite job.  I don't really even count it as a job.  A simple pleasure.  Almost a hobby.

A job well done.  Complete.  It feels good.

As you may know, sometimes I have difficulty, how should I put it, "keeping busy".

Some days just feel a heck of a lot more productive than others.

So I enjoy mowing the lawn.  Do you?

The reason I bring it up is that I just mowed my lawn for the first time this year.  It felt good.  Barely needed it, but I did it anyway.

Just moments before, I had argued (yes, I would say argued) with my yoga instructor about her possible home purchase.  I don't feel she is ready to own yet.  She thinks she is.  Maybe.

She had been shown a home that was way out of her price range by another agent.  She barely likes that one.

It makes me wonder.

Anyway, my blood was flowing.  So I went out and gave my lawn a little love.  It needed it.

We had lots of snow this year in Naperville!:)

I thought I was the only guy who enjoyed mowing the lawn!  I find it relaxes me and lets me enjoy the Florida sunshine! Happy mowing!

I too use it as 'therapy'...I use a riding mower and just work out my problems and thoughts while making the property look good...Have a great day!

I can't stand to mow the lawn. I don't know why, just not my thing. Glad that you enjoy it!

Love mowing.  It's a time to reflect.  And when you're done, your lawn looks fabulous.

It's very difficult to make any money when there are so few $$ DOLLAR PRODUCTIVE $$$ activities going on in a day, Ken.  I fall into this a lot too, especially when my wife is home and I am working from home, but we have to treat our professions like a professional and go to work between work hours at the very least! :)

Hey Ken,  Have a bad day cut the grass.  It has helped me for years.  I actually like to mow my own yard. :-)  Thanks for the post.

I enjoy cutting my lawn.  But if you want to come cut it next week while I'm on vacation, feel free.  This lawn mower starts a lot easier than the last one.  (note: Ken was my realtor when I had two houses and he senced how much I hated ccoming back to my old house to cutting the lawn.  'Out of boredom' he cut the grass for me several times.  I think he was being a good guy.  He probably realized the house would move better with the extra trim)

Ken, as always you crack me up.  You argued with your YOGA instructor, ok man, that is just not right, LOL...

Hi Kim, Boring, Don, and Carl.

Rich, thanks again for the plug.  We should be getting rain today.  My grass should spring up nicely!

Morning Ken,

Lawn mowing gives me a mindless period of time to myself. I can chill-out, plan, reflect, appreciate my accomplishments, both in life and at hand.

Have a great day!

Um, can all you guys come to my house and mow my yard?  We have 4 lawmowers (yes 4) and my hubby still complains......maybe the cup holder, umbrella, portable fan thing might work for him!  Hhmmmm......4 lawnmowers in the garage but the cars are in the driveway - hey, what's up with that?

I have many excuses as to why I can't mo the lawn.

1.  My allergies

2.  Out of gas

3.  Cant find the gas can

4.  It will burn the grass if I do it now.

5.  HGTV said.............

6.  Damn what time it?  I have to call a client.

I could go on all day, so my wife ends up mowing it.  I will go and buy the gas today, it needs cut.  My back is acting up today though.
