El Nino not withstanding, it's still winter-time in Chicago. But Chicagoans don't let colder temperatures keep us inside during the winter months. There are too many fun things to do and to many fun places to visit. In a previous post, I wrote about how much Chicagoans enjoy sampling Chicago's food scene in the annual Restaurant Week event, a misnomer since the event is actually 2 weeks long, but I digress. This year's event runs from Friday, January 22nd through Thursday, February 4th.
On the heels of Restaurant Week, is Theater Week, which will run for 10 days, from Thursday, February 11th through Sunday, February 21st. Chicagoans are very loyal in their patronage of all forms of live theater, from small neighborhood venues, to larger stages, to “Broadway In Chicago” road productions. During Theater Week, theater goers will have an opportunity to see productions at over 100 venues with average ticket prices ranging from $15-$30.
