Everyone Likes to Talk About Real Estate
Opportunities are everywhere we are. All we have to do is talk about real estate and someone is willing to listen and soon we will hear they have a need.
Everyone Likes to Talk About Real Estate
I was licensed in 1980 and at that time there were only about 200 agents in my town. It was highly competitive because the market was different. There wasn't an abundance of properties for sale and it took a lot of calling, asking and door knocking to get someone to agree to list their home or buy a home. Things were so different then. People stayed in their homes longer and didn't move around a lot. Buyers were slow to make decisions about buying. Interest rates were high and they didn't have as many options.
People now are quick to want to sell or move. That may not be able to because of their financial situations but society has changed and the desire is still there. We have become an impatient society. We want what we want when we want it. We don't like waiting. There is not nearly as much persuasion needed to get someone thinking about moving and on their way to their next home.
If you talk to enough people you will find some that have had the idea of moving in the back of their minds. You will uncover the person that has thought about buying investment property or trying their hand at flipping properties. You will learn that the children have all grown up and left the house and now the house is too large. You will be told that their family situation is changing as the result of divorce, remarriage, aging parents or boomerang children coming back to live. This creates a need for selling, buying a new house or multiple houses.
Opportunities are everywhere we are. All we have to do is talk about real estate and someone is willing to listen and soon we will hear they have a need. Even at the gas pumps, sport events, restaurants, gym and grocery store we can find business. It is easier that it has ever been because everyone likes to talk about real estate. Are you really listening and hearing the potential for real estate business?
