Calling all San Francisco Bay area Active Rain members -- and those looking for an excuse for a quick trip to San Francisco -- you probably know by now that Winter Meet Ups are coming up soon.
As you probably also know, San Francisco is busily preparing to welcome over a million people to Super Bowl 50 activities. As you might very well surmise, road closures will make traffic more difficult that ever.
Factoring that in, I'm happy to say we can enjoy San Francisco, good food, good fellowship and ample free parking.
Here's the scoop:
When: Thursday, February 4, 2016
Where: The Park Chalet and Coastal Beer Garden
What: No-host lunch and libations
Address: 1000 The Great Highway (at Ocean Beach), San Francisco
Time: 11:30am - 1:30pm
Afterward: Optional guided walk in Golden Gate Park or Lands' End, depending on weather and interest. (I'll keep my afternoon open.)
This location is easy to reach from Marin County and San Mateo County. From the East Bay, simply take 280 from the Bay Bridge and circle around to the Great Highway, staying off city streets. And if you're already in The City, just head away from the congestion!
Let's share one thing that worked for us in 2015, and something we plan to implement in 2016. Ideas are sure to fly.
