Warming up to Windows 10
After suffering with Windows 8 on my main computer for the past year and a half, I was a bit skeptical about upgrading to Windows 10 when I saw those dreaded tiles in the advertisements, but I am changing my tune a bit.
I grew to love Windows 7 and several of it’s predecessors over the years and it came as quite a shock when Windows decided to post its schizophrenic cousin, Windows 8, as the new replacement a few years ago.
Windows 8 seemed to be something put out by at least two teams of developers who never spoke together, never got along and had no intention of working on the same project.
And then another team of developers took the two systems and a roll of duct tape and stuck them together, rather poorly, and called it Windows 8.
After buying two computers with windows 8, we held off on replacing several other computers in the company far past their expiration date, but by the end of this year it was time to do an upgrade, even though I was nervous about the new Windows flavor.
So just before the end of the year I bought a stack of new laptops and a surface tablet, all with this new operating system.
It took a few hours to get comfortable with them, but I am happy to say that I am happy with them, and so are my staff members, but not happy enough to upgrade our Windows 7 computers.
