The Iconic Venice,CA a true destination place for many .....

Venice California has been a ‘Local Attraction to just about everyone from all over the Globe.

www.endrebarath.com

Venice Beach aka Venice, CA has always been a permanent Local Attraction. I can reflect and go past twenty plus years and the attraction has not waned. We can go back in my life time to the days of Jack La Lane and Arnold Schwarzenegger working out at Muscle Beach aka the Venice Boardwalk and people would want to see them.

It is truly a destination place for many from all over the Globe. When we moved here to Los Angeles, the perception was, that it was not the safest place to live. I tried to convince Diane that we could buy properties for a song… she wanted safety and security. Needless to say twenty plus years and gentrification has taken place on the last beach frontier in Los Angeles.

Now days Beach properties are on the market from three million USD and up vs. when we came here they were giving them away, well almost. Keep in mind in those days there were Los Angeles Gang members, as well as lower middle class workers living next to famous celebrities who were willing towww.endrebarath.com take a chance to buy inexpensive ocean view homes.

Well, today the Boardwalk and the famous VENICE sign still attract people from all over the world, the difference is now parking nearby could cost you $20-$30 for the opportunity to walk and check out the Boardwalk. As well as going to a Restaurant for lunch or dinner could set you back quite a lot too.

Never the less we all love and want to visit Venice, CA ironically now few can afford to live here. At the same time many want to live here now because it is hip, cool, trendy and safe….

If you want to re-locate to the Venice Canals and I do not mean Italy but Venice, CA please reach out to me directly.

The last time I was in Venice, I thought I should hang for a day or two to learn how to skateboard.  That was a stretch 15 years ago, and likely would be more so now.

But..it was a beautiful community with a nice spirit.

Hi Endre - I remember Venice from back in the sixties - it was interesting even back then, mostly hippies and body builders, and not particularly scary.

Endre,

I went to Venice CA back in 1972 for one week on vacation with a buddy of mine.and it was a happening place and was cool even back then. You had to be careful as there was crime.. Venice is now super cool and expensive. Good pictures
