What Markets Having Rising Home Values?

It may be hard to believe but there are some areas of the country that have rising home values.  All you hear about in the media is how bad the housing market is right now.  But housing is a local phenomenon and is not tied to to national trends.

Amarillo, TX is market that is still a seller's market.  The average price of existing homes was up 11% in the fourth quarter of 2007.

There are only 5 states that are truly in a housing recession: California, Arizona, Nevada, Florida, and Michigan.

Make sure to check what is happening in your local market and not so much on a national level.
