"The Top 7 reasons Why Your Life Sucks......."

I just got this letter yesterday and this was the headline. Did I want to read it? Yes!!! Not because I think my life sucks. It doesn't. But I want to know why this person thought my life sucks. I am struck by the directness of this advertising and captured at the same time.

So do you want to know why your life sucks?????

Ok I tell you what they told me, but I am not going to give you all the reasoning why. It will be too long of a blog. If that anticipation gets to you let me know and I will email the whole letter to you.

"The #1 Reason that your life sucks- Your pretending that you don't have control over your life.

The #2 Reason that your life sucks- You chronically and unconsciously focus on what you don't want.

The #3 Reason that your life sucks-You believe what you parents taught you about who you have to be in order to be ok.

The #4 Reason that your life sucks- You aren't willing to examine your beliefs and premises- about the world, life, other people, or yourself.

The #5 Reason that your life sucks- Fearing Failure, you don't act.

The #6 Reason that your life sucks- Your focused on yourself and are mostly (or entirely) unaware of the needs-- or perspective- of other people.

The #7 Reason that your life sucks- You're waiting for everything to be okay before you can be happy." I hate to be the one to break it to you but everything is never going to be ok. Your human with humans. ;)

So what is for sale???? It actually is quite fitting for their advertising. This letter is from Bill Harris. He was one of the people in the movie "The Secret" He has a company called Centerpointe and they use Holosync. Which is a way to meditate like Zen masters with out all the time and hassle. Truly it is amazing. I am only on the first level, but I love meditation it gives me the calm I need in this REal EsTate STOrm!!!.

Ten Reasons why your house sucks and it is time to up grade. UGHHH!!! Possible? I am not so sure..

Interesting stuff. I have to admit, while I don;t think my life sucks, I did find the headline of the blog interesting enough to read... shock factor, I guess.

Debbie, I really enjoyed the concept of this post. You made so many great points.

Debbie- This is copywriting at its' best! Sheer brilliance. The title of your blog caught my eye because I just got the mailer too! I use Centerpointe meditation too! We absolutely love it. I am a secret fan too, love Rhonda Byrne. I use her gratitude journal to write my gratitudes every day. I do not adhere to all of Bill Harris' philosophies however I do totally agree with his method of meditation and it WORKS! We are only on his first level for over a year now. But I want the surround sound second level and that one had to wait for a bit. I will get if for my birthday! Katerina

That title really grabs your attention, lol. Interesting Information. I think those are 7 great principles. Some of them remind me of the principles talked about in the book titled the secret.

I can't wait to get to the next level, too. I didn't think Bill would mind as long as I stated where I got the info from. It is advertising after all?? Right?

Provocative title-I couldn't help but read! Good content as well-kind of the reverse psychology of positive thinking! Love it!

lol Funny. That would be great.....10 reasons why your expired listings sucks. 1. You believe the cheapest Realtor puts more money in your pocket. 2. You never pick up after yourself and your showings think your porky pig. 3. You didnt choose me as your Realtor. Good luck..I guess you just suck. LOL Okay, maybe I got carried away with being sarcastic. I apologize I couldnt resist but to add on to your thought provoking idea.

Thanks Dave!!! That was great.. That was exactly what I was looking for shocking ways to advertise. It definately would get their attention.
