While my Dallas area weather is climbing back to the 70's, much of the country is covered in white.  Here's a fun way to help you get out from under the snow if you are "buried"...

Snow Ice Cream   Food Network

Recipe courtesy of Paula Deen

Total Time:  5 min
Prep:  5 min

Yield:8 to 10 servings
Level:  Easy

Ingredients

8 cups snow, or shaved ice
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions

Place snow or shaved ice into a large bowl. Pour condensed milk over and add vanilla. Mix to combine. Serve immediately in bowls.

Enjoy!

I miss Paula being on the networks.... she has the best recipes. It was down right cold yesterday but this morning the sun is up no clouds and I've been out with the dogs walking the property. Have a beautiful day.

I remember this from when I was a kid, most important tip though - avoid yellow snow.

I remember having a similar ice cream treat as a kid.  Since we don't get much snow here shaved ice would be a good substitute

Hi Lisa.  Sounds delicious, even if I have to use the substitute for the snow.

Hi Lisa Von Domek ,  I remember when I was a kid, we did all sorts of things with snow and icicles.  All I remember was to stay away from the yellow snow!

Hi, Lisa.
That sounds like an easy way to make homemade ice cream and use up all that extra snow laying around in my yard.

Just don't use the yellow snow, right? LOL.
