Recently, I met a young couple who are just starting their house hunt. They both are native Virginians. However, their work demands an extensive traveling. One of their top search criteria/must have was buying a home in a gated community in the Eastern Loudoun county area of Ashburn or Leesburg.
They did not want to buy in any other community. They knew biggest challenge with the gated communities are higher HOA dues and limited choices for the communities in the Ashburn & Leesburg area.
Here are few communities you should consider if you are planning to buy with gated security options in the Loudoun county area of Ashburn & Leesburg.
River Creek: River Creek Club is a private, gated golf course community. The 600-acre planned community, with a championship Ault-Clark 18-hole golf course, borders the Potomac River, Right off Route 7 in close vicinity to Whole Foods, Wegmans, Leesburg Premium Outlets, Lansdown and other fine amenities.
The community has 1100 homes which primary includes single family homes, luxury townhomes, and patio homes. The community is divided into 20 small subdivision. Some of the community home back to the beautiful golf course.
Builder: Builders who built this beautiful community includes: N V Homes, Mitchell & Best, Renaissance, Michael Harris Homes and Craftmark
Schools:
Elementary: Frances Hazel Reid
Middle: Harper Park
High School: Heritage
HOA Dues: Single family homes, Townhomes & Patio homes pay the same amount of HOA dues approx. $173 per month. It includes fitness center, 2 swimming pools, breathtaking views along the walking trails and tennis court. HOA dues do not include golf course membership.

Belmont County Club was a brain child of Toll Brothers with a beautiful golf course. The location is very similar to River Creek community. The community has 2157 homes which primary includes single family homes, luxury townhomes, and patio homes.
