NRG Center - Houston Auto Show 2016: Fun Event
The Houston Auto Show which has been in existence for over 30 years starts on Wednesday January 27, 2016 (today) runs through Sunday January 31, 2016. The show takes place at NRG Center ( formerly Reliant Center) . This is a great opportunity for everyone to see the latest cars, trucks and SUV’s from the World’s best Automakers. There will be over 700,000 square feet space devoted to the latest and greatest vehicles from all of the top automakers.
Approximately 700 vehicles with seven being debuts from 15 automakers will be on display. In addition, about 70 vehicles are available for test drives. The Houston Auto show is a car lover's dream.
Tickets cost $12 per person per day. Children 6 to 12 years old are $5 and under 6 are FREE when accompanied by one adult. Credit cards will be accepted. There is a $ 2 discount coupon for Wednesday thru Friday. Parking costs $12 per car and is on a cash only basis.

Wednesday January 27 Noon- 9:30 PM
Thursday January 28 Noon - 9:30 PM
Friday January 29 Noon - 9:30 PM
Saturday January 30 10 AM - 9:30 PM
Sunday January 31 10 AM - 7:00 PM

I have been to this show in the past and if you like cars and seeing the new model year cars then this is the place to be.
Remember this show runs only these 5 days and is presented only once a year during January in Houston. Driving from Katy is not difficult especially during non rush hour times during the week and on the weekend.
