It's hard to think about springtime when we are still digging ourselves out from the most recent snow explosion here in the Southeast, but it really is the best time to start. 
Our winters don't usually last very long around here and those purple crocuses and yellow and white daffodils will soon be poking through. Because of that, this is the best time to start planning our spring and summer foliage.
Here in East Tennessee, it will soon be time to plant some of those beautiful lilies that grow so well around here. I think gladiolus are my favorite though. Their bright, vibrant colors, sit well against our rich green grasses and can give home landscaping a great deal of life. 
But, we also have many types of bushes that grow very well in our area. Our climate allows us to do so much with landscaping, that the only thing that keeps us back, is our own imagination. A well planned design, either by yourself, or a professional landscaper, will often add the extra value you are looking for, plus save you from spending unnecessary money and time. Landscaping doesn't have to be complicated. Often, simple is best, but some homes act as the perfect backdrop to your limitless imagination. When I see some homes, I think..."Wow!" This house is so grand all it's missing is a mote!" Now, wouldn't that be fun!
