Haywood County, NC Caffeine and Calculations - Buzz for the Day.

Starbucks is coming to Waynesville, NC!, Ingles

Starbucks will soon (April 28th) be open in Waynesville (hey, this is our very first Starbucks in Haywood County!) and the caffe-aholics are swarming to Ingles to keep an eye on the progress. Practice your ordering - - “I want a triple venti mocha latte with only about half double the chocolate syrup you normally use, with whipped cream, please.”

Real Estate Buzz for the day.

So far this month we have had 38 closings, 17 homes have gone into escrow, and there are 1,073 active listings in the Haywood County MLS.

Ah, Coffee, that wonderful elixir of life. Where would we be without it? Gosh, around here, it is getting to be almost as bad as Seattle, a Starbucs on every corner.

I hear that many Starbucks are going to close? Must be to make room for those they want to open, lol

Is there a disconnect between the Sold prices and Listed prices in your chart?  They don't seem to reflect that things are flat. Average MT at 172 days is not a great number. Whew! My last was on the market for 7 days  and I thought, "What's wrong here"?

If you want to sell your listings faster , they should be on Point2NLS. 27 on line automatic sites and they get great exposure. However there are more than 50 others and I am still trying to disocver them all. But Point 2NLS may be the real answer. I won't get into explaining why but if you aren't using the service ,you should gibve it a try.

Hi William, I can tell that you looked at the numbers!  I believe that some people remain in denial... as yes, there is a disconnect in active listings and solds; i.e, overpriced listings for what the market is.

Would love to talk to you to find out about Point 2... I have never liked it but can't say that I've given it a fair shot yet.

Thank you for visiting and reading my chart.

Michael, I do love my french-pressed coffee every morning!  Dunkin Donuts has some good coffee now too.

Susie,  I felt the same way when I found out we were getting a Starbucks at our Harris Teeter.  Coming from California where there is a coffee place on every block I felt lost without my morning Decaf. Grande Non-fat Cap!  I will have to visit your lovely area sometime!

Susie - now that the Starbucks is opening, you'll have to get a Mac Air and write your novel! Good networking at that opening I'm sure.

Hi Diane, I do hope you visit the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.  It is always beautiful here!  Thank you...

Jason, I guess I'll need to talk with you about the Mac Air, although I'm hoping my VAIO will hold out a little while longer.  Thank you for stopping by!

Good idea adding the MLS link to your post. Lots of useful info for customers .

I think I need to switch  to the ClustrMaps widget. My Feedjit widget doesn't seem to be as accurate.
