Manchester CT Meet-up Hosted by Joe Petrowsky
Most of us are familiar with the meet-up format of meeting at a restaurant and chatting and laughing away while enjoying a repast. When you start a Meet-up at 2 PM, repast is past and there should be nourish while socializing.
Joe Petrowsky found a way to do such a thing and left many of us with an over fed palate of learning and Internet deserts.
Labeled an Epic Meet-up, it was actually a daisy chain of members giving recognition to the initial tile that brought all of them together, Eric Boucher, the individual that pestered Joe to start a blog, and tragically lost his life this past year in an automobile accident at the age of 41.
Meeting at the Innovations and Libations lab in Manchester, CT, which happens to be a conference room for Kyle Reyes, the gathering was small but nut unfamiliar to each other and still very much happy to be there.
Joe offered a presentation on Networking and gave specific examples as to how it has worked to his business advantage. A couple of his guest attendees also attested to how it has helped them and how they got started.
Alison Podworski gave a presentation on Public Relations and specifically on how to monitor Blab.com to interact with news people that are looking for expert input from trade professionals, some of relating to real estate. It's worth investigating. And a careful look at that pretty face can find characteristics that go back to Joe himself. (Daughter)
Manny Rivera gave a presentation on web sites and more specifically on how search engines find good content and index web sites on search engines. All bow to Google.
Kyle Reyes did a simulcast presentation on Facebook while discussing social media as relates to our businesses as well as a brief presentation on Snapchat. He also gave an over view of his company, Silent Partner Marketing and how he got the President of Blab as a client for his business.
The final presenter was Gail Petrowsky, a life coach and Joe's child bride. She talked om how to make a client be more at ease when we are sitting and talking with them, as well as how tone of voice and personal movements can affect a conversation.
All together it was a fast couple of hours with some libations and snacks to whet the appetite
It was an educational and epic for the information that flowed and social for the AR members that found the time to attend.
I will apologize for any errors I may have made with the sites offered but I had nothing to write with and a lot of info was put out there. A master group photo was taken and hopefully Joe will get that up as well.
