That's right, Blackfoot is making their first Bikeweek appearance Headlining at the White Eagle in Korona. Blackfoot will be taking the stage at 9pm on March 9th. Admission is Free! Couple great things about the White Eagle are the prices are reasonable, (Some places around here raise their beer and alcohol prices during the event) Dave and Kevin have vendors out there all week, there is plenty of parking and it's a nice ride from Ormond Beach about 10 minutes north of Destination Daytona on US 1 at the intersection of US 1 and Old Dixie Hwy in the small town of Korna in Flagler County. This will be Blackfoot's 3rd show in the area since they got back together, and the first two were awesome! Come on down to the White Eagle on March 9th and check them out. They're looking forward to seeing you there!  So am I!

For those of you that remember the late 70s early 80s, Blackfoot had some great songs, two you will remember well ~ Highway Song and Train Train. Other hits include Fly Away, Left Turn On A Red Light and Wishing Well. They have a great Southern Rock style that's their own, Bobby Barth adds a bit of his blues to the set also.

In 2004 Blackfoot members Greg T. Walker, Jakson Spires, Charlie Hargrett and Bobby Barth reunited and reformed Blackfoot, tragedy struck very soon after in 2005, when drummer Jakson was suddenly taken from them. I met the boys two weeks later at a concert at the Suwannee Music Festival, the night was dedicated to their brother Jakson. It was an incredible and emotional show. Never had I met a nicer group of people more willing to let an outsider into their inner circle, of course, we have a very good mutual friend, Lysa Muller. Eight months later Blackfoot played at Sanford's Biketober Fest, Lysa's husband and I rode out to see the show, the guys remembered us from that late night in Live Oak and treated us like we had known each other for 30 yrs. They have added guitarist Jay Johnson and drummer Mark (Bam Bam) McConnell to the band and they sound as good as they did 20 yrs ago. Can't wait to see everyone again!
