I'm a Yes Person - Are You?
Long Realty had their annual appreciation awards this past week, and I was the recipient of a "surprise" award that really touched me. It seems I am a yes person. Ha ha you say, and so did I initially, but as my manager spoke I found my eyes getting pretty teary.
He told others that when he called this person[me] to ask for help, consistently the first response he heard was "Yes", not, "What is it?".
When I was asked to be on agent panels, I said, "Yes"
When I was asked to mentor fellow agents, I said, "Yes"
When volunteers were needed, I said, "Yes"
When new agents called and asked for help, I said, "Yes"
When an event needed organizing, I said, "Yes"
I was really honored. ...I guess I am a "yes" person. But in doing so I've found that all those around me become yes people too. We all succeed.
As I've just mentioned in my last blog posting...positivity and helpfulness is contagious. I've watched many in my office pay kindnesses forward. It is the exception, not the rule, to have a helpful, kind atmosphere at our Dove Mountain and Continental Ranch/Twin Peaks offices.
This weekend marks my third anniversary with Long Realty and I'm on the back end of my 11th year as a REALTOR. I just signed my contract for my next exciting year with Long Realty.
