This vegetable still life greeted us when we walked over to the Garden of Eden tent.  It reminded me of a class I took in college, painting still life!

Here is the exaggerated illustration of the definition of "turning beet red!" What a gorgeous color!

We love fresh peas, and these English peas are in season now!

The beautiful purple lavender color of this cauliflower took our breath away!

Asparagus root stock can be planted now for the spring crop.  This farmer was selling these, as he had too many.

Wishing you lots of  Saturday Smiles,

Hi Roy.  I have never seen purple cauliflower.  How does a purple cauliflower come about?  The soil Ron and Alexandra Seigel ?

Mmm....we will be shopping today for a vegetable selection on our way home from an appointment...may not find as much variety as they have in sunny California.

Well Roy Kelley I can tell, this post was right down your alley. No wonder you chose to re-blog it.

And Conrad Allen If you spent any time at all with seed catalogs, you would see purple cauliflower and other unusual veggies. How about purple tomatoes?
