Inmates and staff members at the State Correctional Institution at Frackville recently held a fundraiser to benefit local children treated by Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital pediatric services.
The check was presented to Children’s Miracle Network at Geisinger on behalf of the institition’s H.O.P.E. organization, which stands for Helping Other People Everywhere. Inmates at Frackville sold snacks and raised $1,000 for Children’s Miracle Network. The funds raised by this event will help to provide pediatric equipment, programs and services at Janet Weis Children’s Hospital and throughout Geisinger Health System.
