One of the many positive aspects of living in Southern California are the farmers markets, which can be found in most communities throughout the year.
And Carlsbad is no exception.
The Carlsbad Farmer’s Market is held on Wednesdays year round from 1 – 5 PM, and on Saturdays from 9 Am until 1 PM. The market can be found in the heart of Carlsbad Village at 2930 Roosevelt between Carlsbad Village Drive and Grand Avenue.
The Carlsbad Farmer’s Market is a great way to buy fresh fruits (including the famous Carlsbad strawberries) and organic vegetables, and to support our local farmer’s. You can also find flowers, plants, homemade breads (no preservatives), lemonade, popcorn, gourmet oils and vinegars, honey, the best tamales around, dried fruits and nuts, candies and fudge, and much more. Many of the vendors are there every week, but the variety changes, and offers more during the summer months. The market continues to expand and now you will see a few arts and crafts, clothing, art objects, books and CDs, and other assorted items.
Be sure to bring cash (ATMs are nearby) since most vendors do not take credit cards. Parking is free and close by in community parking lots and on the surrounding streets.
NOTE: The Carlsbad Farmer's Market on Saturdays is now from 1 until 5 pm. Same great vendors.
Here’s a list of other local Farmer’s Markets in the San Diego area.
