5 Ways to Reconnect with Clients This Month

Any time is a great time to touch base with your clients. It may be cold and wintery outside in many parts of the country; however, that’s not an excuse to hibernate in your office for the season. Get out and chat with your clients! You’ll never know when you’ll hear a need you can fill to serve your clients better.

Pick up the phone. A quick call to your favorite clients to say ‘hello’ not only allows you to listen for ways to help, it also puts you at the tops of their minds. Did they mention that they’re roof is leaking from all of the heavy snow or rain? Connect them with a roofer in your network. Are they complaining about shoveling all the snow? Connect them with a snow clearing service you trust.  Whatever the need, try to connect them with a trusted professional from your network. After all, you are the hub of your network and the community.

Pop-by their home or office. If you’re in the neighborhood, deliver a Pop-By to your clients that will help them this season, such as antifreeze or a snow scraper, depending on where you live. Pop-Bys are thoughtful gestures that show your clients that you care and give you the opportunity to remind them that you’re never too busy for their referrals.

Write them a note. Who doesn’t love to get mail from someone they know? A personal note allows you to express a quick, sincere message to your client. Take the opportunity to tell them how much you appreciate their business, remind them you’re connected to local trusted service professionals or just say ‘hello.’ It only takes a few minutes to write a note; however, the impact is a lasting one.

Write a short note on your cover letter when you send your Marketing Flyers. By including a hand-written personal message on the cover letters to your A+ clients, you give them an small unexpected extra that will show them you appreciate their business. It sounds small and insignificant, but like the personal note, it’s a gesture that has a much bigger impact.

Send a video email. Video emails are just another way to personalize your communication with your clients. Record a video to send to your buyers and sellers to reassure them you’re in their corner and are doing everything you can to help them through the process. Or, record a video for your top clients to tell them how grateful you are for their business.
