As I was driving on I-280 back from Santa Clara, CA (aka Levi Stadium home of the 50th Superbowl game), I saw a Sign "Oracle Cloud ERP #1" on a shared Oracle building shared with Price Waterhouse Inc several miles away.
Oracle, CEO Larry Ellisson is leading the Superbowl spirit with a 18 story building super-graphic sign in place on its shared office tower on Almaden Boulevard.
According to San Jose City Planning Building and Code Enforcement, Oracle did not even apply for a permit a month ago.
To hire contractors remove this monster sign will be a challenge. According to San Jose Mercury News Oracle Commercial Sign is NOT legal.
This may not make much difference even if the maximum fine of $2,500 a day is imposed. Mr Ellison has a networth of $49,300,000,000.00 May be he can trade part of Lanai Island instead.
It is funny on I-17 Exit sign there was a crooked undersized sign which says "Levi Stadium" I have not seen any banners, realtors "buy, buy, buy" signs on the freeway. At least not yet.
