I'm back after a brief hiatus, took some time to chill out a bit...

Investors are having a hard time digesting and responding to the barrage of news pointing in two directions at once - inflation and recession.  So which is it?  Depends on the day you look.  So neither stocks nor bonds have a distinct trend - OTHER THAN EXTREME VOLATILITY!  Mortgage bonds go up and down like a hot-air balloon in the wine country, but have been trading in ranges that are keeping long term rate relatively tame and in the 6.000%, + or -, for some weeks now.

The dreaded word stagflation has been bandied about a bit lately. I wonder how markets will react to inlation and recession at the same time?
