The 7th Annual Marietta Mardi Gras 5K Run, a family event on the Marietta Square, will be on Saturday, February 6, 2016.
Join the Junior League of Cobb – Marietta (JLCM) for their 7th year of run and fun and hopefully sun (remember year one?). We go, no matter the weather – rain, sleet, snow or sun (and we have had them all!)
The proceeds of this event go towards various ongoing community projects of the JLCM. In addition, they ask all runners to bring ANY shoes that you no longer wear and drop them in the shoe bins….all donated shoes will be provided to those needing shoes in our community.
Early packet pickup at Big Peach Running Company on Barrett Parkway, Kennesaw on Wednesday (2/3) and Thursday (2/4) from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
5K awards to the Overall male and female finisher, overall male and female masters finisher and the top 3 male and female finishers in 14 age groups from 10 & under to 70 & over.
Ribbons to all finishers in the 1K run/walk and the Tot Trot (50 yard dash for ages 5 and under).
Additional info – 5K course is USATF certified for Peachtree qualifying and the 5K will be chipped timed (no tearoff tags or finish cards hassle).
