Michael Koziczkowski Park Video - Stevens Point Wisconsin

A friend of mine asked me to share a little information on the parks in Stevens Point a few weeks ago so this week I will be sharing a few of our gems.

Stevens Point is a wonderful little city with a wealth of trees and parks, it seems that every time I turn around I discover another nice little park.

A while ago I discovered Michael Koziczkowski Park and thought that it might me nice to share a little glimpse of it with you so I took out my phone and recorded a quick little tour for you to enjoy.

This is a quiet and often forgotten park hidden away along the McDill pond flowage.

Though Michael Koziczkowski park may be hidden away at the south side of town at the south end of Minnesota Ave and Business 51, it is named after a significant founder of our heritage in Portage County.Michael Koziczkowski was the first arrival of the Polish farmers that founded Stevens point toward the end of the big lumbering era of the mid to late 1800's.

Next time you are in Point, give me a call and we can go explore one of these parks together.

Nice little video, Bob.

I think I was there last summer.  My daughter works at Delta Dental, I spent a bit of time looking around the Point while she was working and the kids were to busy to hang out with Grandma.

I did not come across any dog friendly parks - are there any?

Yes we do have a 20 acre dog park where dogs can run without a leash and the rest of the parks you may bring your dog as long as they are on a leash.

Next time you are in town give me a call.
