I was reading my daily email version of Realtor- The Daily Real Estate News and came across another tool to help enhance Real Estate Blogs. The Adobe Store has available a product called Vlog It which creates video blogs, according to the advertising it's faster and easier than traditional video editing software. In fact they compare it to having an automatic TV newsroom in your computer.

Vlog It appears to be filled with features; drag and drop photos, video clips or music, teleprompter for narration, webcam feature for "the personal newscast", Flash video and capability to digitally replace the background behind you.

Is Vlog It an indispensable tool we dare not pass up or at $29 is it one of those "if sounds to good to be true...." deals. My thought is that if it's coming from Adobe it should have some credibility. I would like to hear your thoughts on the product and reviews if anyone has tried it out.

Nyles- I'm not sure how you would do a group post but I'll keep my ears open.

Jacki- It's the first time I'd heard about it too, please let me know if you find anything more out about "Vlog It".

A lot of agents really need to get out there and press the flesh with other potential clients.  All business relationships will not develop on-line.

Very true Jim and for those of us that already do that we need to set ourselves apart from the others online. Blogging is a start and vlogging is becoming more popular.

Bob, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm currently shopping / experimenting with video editing software. I'm trying to learn windows movie maker and see if that meets my needs or if I need to shop for other software.

04/25/2008 12:43 PM by Katie Graham - Denver Real Estate (Preferred Properties)

That sounds really neat, I will have to check it out! Thanks for the information and have a great weekend.

Katie- I almost think it's worth $29 to take it for a test drive. I've anxiously waiting to see if anyone has actually used it and could give us a review.

Bob- Thanks for sharing this information. I also agree that vlogging is a way to set yourself apart in the blogosphere... American buyers are already very visual. A picture says a thousand words, but a video says a million.

Also-- I wanted to thank you for stopping by to say "welcome" to my newbie post.

I'm waiting for a review before embracing this software.  That would be agreat challenge for a video savvy Ranier.

Tina- Apparently nobody at AR has heard of Vlog It or used it, I'm tempted to spend the $29 and check it out.

Find a Notary Public- I'm with you, I'd like to read a review from a Rainer but I'm about ready to check it out on my own.

Bob,

What is your initial impression of Vlog?  I'm curious as to your first thoughts.

05/05/2008 05:20 PM by Find a Notary Public | needAnotary (QEC Internet Services)

My initial thought is that Vlog It is exactly what I was looking for. I'd like to combine podcasting and vidcasting and Vlog It would fit the bill. It sounds like a great tool for doing a mini online seminar, buyer and seller testimonials, etc. The price is what throws me off, it would seem now a days you just can't buy much for $29. I'd love to hear from someone thats tried it out. I'm thinking I'll probably spend the 29 bucks and see for myself and then post my results.

Bob,  I will look into Vlog It and it certainly sounds like something to add to my "tool box" for serious marketing.
