Staying In The Pink With A Bubbly California Rosé !!
"Simply outstanding, the refined and complex Domaine Chandon Etoile Rose is a star among stars; bright strawberries and raspberries, with a delightful accent of baking dough."
We recently enoyed the étoile Rosé, a non-vintage blend of sparkling wine, This is produced by Domaine Chandon, the Yountville, California, branch of Moet & Chandon producers of Dom Perignon Champagne.
We liked this sparkling wine which received a rating of 93 by Wine.com. The bubbly is aged in the bottle for 5 years. Here is how Wilfred Wong of Wine.com described it:
"Simply outstanding, the refined and complex Domaine Chandon Etoile Rose is a star among stars; bright strawberries and raspberries, with a delightful accent of baking dough."
Our local store, Carpinteria Wine Company had it priced at $26.95, wine.com is already sold out of it, and the site, Chandon.com is selling it for $50. For the price we paid, it was worth it. For twice the price we paid, we would opt for Don Ruinart's Champagne Rosé.
