How do you overcome obstacles?

Obstacles.  Do you go around them, over them or stand in front of them and wonder?

I have overcome some big ones lately.  My secret?  It's simple.  What I enjoy naturally is to manage conflict.  I love to think of creative ways to solve problems.

What aspect of real estate do you enjoy?

A friend of mine recently gave up on being a real estate agent.  He was our agent who negotiated a creative deal so we could buy our house.  He is a great guy, but he told me that he was not aggressive enough to compete in the real estate market.

Are you facing the same challenge?  Do you feel like giving up?  Do you feel that you may fit in better to some other field than real estate?

Maybe you do and maybe you don't.  At the end of the day we must all receive results that are meaningful to us.

Ask a safe and trusted friend how they perceive you.  Ask yourself, do I have what it takes to do what I am doing?  If you don't have anyone to ask, you can ask me.  Your answers will come.

You may be in a season of character building.  I have had several seasons like that in my life.  There is no testimony without a test.  Maybe you fit into a different area of real estate.  Ask lots of questions and DON'T GIVE UP!

I encourage you to be brutally honest.  If you want to be a World Changer, a History Maker and a Destiny Changer, you can be!

great post Dan. It is sad to hear about agents leaving the business. The key is to Don't Give Up and be persistent. Nice Job

Great post Dan....... unfortunately way too many give up at the first sign of adversity. As we all know.... if something has worth..... it comes with a price...... we just need to determine how much of a price.... and how much effort we are willing to expend.

have Fun,

Alan

Hi Alan,

Thank you for your comment.  Overcoming obstacles does require identifying and paying a price.

I think my friend paid some huge prices and he functions better as a conflict manager.  We must all find our particular place with the right people in the right time.

Hi Dan, Welcome to Active Rain.  After reviewing your posts and web site, I am really looking forward to hearing more from you!  I especially love your line, "There is no testimony without a test."  Great observation!

Hi Earlene,

Thank you so much for your encouragement.  I have experienced a recent test of how to become visible.  I now have a testimony.  I learned from one of my professors in my amazing doctoral studies that visibility is much more important than ability.  How could I become visible?  My wife asked me to do blogs on Active Rain.  She was the answer to my question.

If people don't know we are, they cannot be encouraged!

Thank you, again, Earlene!
