I started my day with a fun e-mail request. My daughter has a friend in college who is looking for an internship this summer. She contacted me this morning to pick my brain about potential contacts in the field of interior and residential design.

She found my contact information through Active Rain! She didn't go to my company website or my individual website or the corporate website - noooo, she found me through my blogging activities on Active Rain.

It really reinforces, for me, how powerful Active Rain is when reaching out to potential contacts and clients, especially younger contacts.

BTW, if anyone in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area knows of possible internship for this young woman, please let me know. She a delightful person who's in her third year at the "U".

Lynn, that is the generation that is using blog forums like AR for their means of communication. Our kids are using facebook & myspace like crazy. This is all normal to them.
