I Didn't Drive From Miami...

This happened to me the day before yesterday. A call comes from the buyer. He is in Daytona on business, and he would like to see a particular condo-hotel. Would I be able to show it to him? Of course I would. I am making the arrangements and calling the buyer. Everything is set. The Buyer is in red T-shirt and his name is Kevin.

I park the car and I see a guy and a girl sitting in a car next to me, waiting for someone. The guy is in orange T-shirt. Hmm, he said he would be in a red shirt…

Asking them whether they were waiting for me. They asked me if I was Jon. Yep, we shake hands, Jon… Kevin, nice meeting you...

I am telling them about the condo-hotel and the unit, and Kevin asked me if it was $800… Well, no… But it seemed that they were talking about rentals…

Am I from Miami and came to show them the unit? Hell no, I am not from Miami… Kevin told me that they are waiting for Jon coming from Miami to rent them a unit.

I am rushing to the entrance, and yes, there is another car with a guy in red shirt, and yes, his name is Kevin…

Am I Jon?

I think so, but now I am not sure anymore…

Troy Erickson - yep, it is something like a story from a movie, where things happen, which do not happen in life...

And here it was in life. Of course, the T-shirt on first Kevin was orange, not red. For a movie story I should have bended the truth and pretend it was red, but it wasn't... :)

Wayne Martin - yep, scratched my head at this coincidence. When I was leaving, Kevin in the orange shirt was still sitting in a car. Well, with 4 hour drive from Miami, he would, probably, have to sit for a long time... Maybe he should have considered bying a unit and not sitting and waiting? :-)

That would have to be a VERY high end listing to drive from Miami! If he was waiting for the owner, it might make sense but if it was a Realtor, not so much.

Wouldn't it be something if you sold "Jon from Miami's" unit to your "Kevin" so he could rent it to "Kevin and his girlfriend" who invited their favorite real estate agent, "Jon" over for a drink ?   After the day you've had Jon Zolsky, Daytona Beach, FL , I imagine you could use one !
