Is an alligator in the kitchen a selling feature?

Reported in Florida this week a woman found an alligator in her kitchen. It had made its way through the lanai and entered through the open kitchen door. the authourities believed the 'gator' was after the family cat Fluffy!

The emergency call center were asking questions like, how long is it and how wide is it! good grief... did they want them to go in there with a measuring tape.

It begs the question. What strange or amusing things have happened to you when you are showing a home, there must be some funnies out there!

A friend of mine once held an open house where the same men kept coming back all day, and bringing friends with them.  The agent finally found out what was going on...from the top floor window, you could see the hot tub at the house next door, with four topless young women in it!  It's great to live at the beach!

I heard about that story.  It tickled me when the 911 operator asked the woman was she sure it wasn't an iguana.  LOL  I havent run into anything that can top Cindy's story.

My friend the agent didn't call me, she called my (Realtor) husband first!  It was his listing, and our friend was doing the open house for him...needless to say, he always does his own open houses these days! ;)

I have a friend who was a brand new agent.  She decided to practice showing homes with her husband.  She made an appointment to go see a listing.  She was told no one would be home.  Wanting to go through all the appropriate motions, she knocked on the door, opened the lock box, opened the door and yelled, "Realtor!".  No one naturally answered.  After all, no one was supposed to be home.  As my friend is taking her husband "client" through the home, they come to the bedroom.  She opened the door to find a rather large, naked man sleeping!!  Needless to say, they closed the bedroom door, backed away slowly so as not to disturb him, and hurried out the front door!!  Needless to say, she now yells "Realtor" several different times when showing a home!  :O)
