  You will want to come down to Old Town and see the pioneer Museum.  This museum located at 2^nd and Maple is housed in the original 102 year old Florence school.  It contains a treasure trove of artifacts and pictures of the Siuslaw Valley and the Central Oregon Coast.  The open hours are noon to 4PM Tuesday thru Sunday and closed in January.  The museum has a free story time featuring old timers and others with stories of the past from this area.
