What makes you distinct?   How are you different than other real estate professionals?

Why don't you get out a sheet of paper or your computer and start brainstorming your ideas of how you are distinct?

Go wild!  Dare to step out of your comfort zone!  Write every thought and word you can think of.  Speak each word out loud.  You don't have to do it all at once.  Just take your time.

As your write about yourself, you will begin to notice the desires of your heart creating a pattern.  There is a proverb that says, "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks."

When you speak your thougts and write them down, you will discover who you think you are.

You will become more centered and whole.  You will begin to live from your heart and not just your head.

Scientists have discovered that whatever you say out of your mouth your subconscious mind believes it.  If a word is positive, your subconscious mind believes it and you become what you say.  The opposite is true also. If you speak a negative word about yourself, you will become negative.

You are deeply loved, completely accepted and highly valued.  Concentrate on thinking, speaking and writing creative distinctive ideas about yourself.

Before you know it, you will become who you want to be.

Think of the best, not the worst.  The beautiful, not the ugly.  Things to praise, not things to curse.

Think of new ways to think about yourself.  Write them down.  Your clients and prospective clients will notice the difference!

Very well written post.  You make a good point - being different is a good things.  This is what we try to achieve in listing presentations, buyer presentations, and introduction - how you are different(Better) than the other Realtor.

Good coaching.  I think I'll break this into two parts.  First, I'll work on telling myself nice things...then I'll work on the list of thigns that make me distinctive.

Dan, what a great post.  I just wrote something similar regarding how Realtors distinguish themselves in their farms.

As for me although I'm in financial services, I distinguish myself as being known as the Entrepreneurial Pastor.  I host Prayer and Business Network for small business owners and mentor kids through a program called the Summertime Kidz-n-Biz Project.

People in our area see me completely different than any other financial services professional or pastor.

Thanks for the post.

Hi Cedric,

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments.  You are touching people where they hurt.  You are creative and loving.  Keep encouraging people.  I believe many of us in America need the role of the healing shepherd restored back to the people.

You are a wonderful inspiration to kids.  They need a father figure to show them how to grow up and be strong men men and learn how to be the providers and protectors of their families!
